Wrist training
Hi Alex,
Is it possible to strengthen or bulk up your wrists? Since starting the programme you designed me, I have had the best gains I have ever had performance and physique wise. Whilst my performance in competition and training has increased massively, my wrists seem to be a weak link in the chain.
Any suggestions?

Re: Wrist training
Yeah, what was missing was direct or indirect grip work really, but the problem was where to put it in the routine!
Some ideas, sandbag work, towel pullups, thick bar work, static bar holds, kettlebell work, sledgehammer work/levering, wrist curls, plate pinching etc.
There are some ideas in the new Training For Warriors book, and there have also been many ideas in Fighters Only over the last few months - in fact Zach Even-Esh wrote a great article just a few months ago!
I'll also reply to your email tomorrow when I can fully concentrate on it.

Hey,
Ah, so it's grip work thats the way to go, ok cool. I remember that article; I really liked it but was in the same boat of thinking "hell, where do I put that in!"
The grip strength has certainly improved, I wonder if I could slip a couple of those exercises into my current routine, hmmmmm...
No probs mate, speak soon.
