Rice Protein

Post  Alomonger Pete on Sun 19 Oct 2008 - 7:53

Has anyone had any experience with this type of protein? Would it be an adequate protein source for a meal?

I really feel most people don't need as much protein as they might reckon.

What about pea protein and all the other stuff a certain well known site with awful customer service sells?

I'm allergic to whey. Egg white powder is great but rather pricy.

What have your experiences been?

Maybe this blog post I made a while back will shed some light on my opinion of it....

I didn't find that very helpful.

I reckon I could mask the taste or at least tolerate it. Do you rate it as a decent supp (taste aside)?

I thought I read that you and your missus like to eat it.

I've had 5 kilos for about 3 months, I've had about 3 shakes in that time.

It's impossible to mask the taste IME.

You can see the nutritional info, it's a very good supplement....in theory.

A supplement is only useful if you actually take it, and that's my problem with brown rice protein.
