Pre-workout supplements and fat loss.

Pre-workout supplements and fat loss.
In preparation for the Ten Week Challenge, I'd like to ask a question I have often mulled over and never really found a clear answer for.
After a mental day at work and I go home absolutely shattered, I have often thought about using a pre-workout supplement to give me a pick-me-up or boost prior to training. With so so many different formula's on the market from numerous suppliers, not to mention the often ridiculous price tag, I have never really ventured into this area (except the occasional use of caffeine).
With the advent of the Ten Week Challenge and my goal to bust my ass and get rid of the excess body-fat I have slowly been accumulating, I want to get the most out of every workout possible. I have been looking around at affordable options and have found the "Pulse" formula from MyProtein.co.uk. It contains the following ingredients; Arginine, Creatine-Ethyl-Ester, Beta Alanine, Tyrosine, Guarana, a little dextrose and some things I have never heard of called Glucuronolactone and Chocamine.
Total carbs come to 8.5g a serving, with 0g protein or fat.
Now I know there is some good evidence in the use of arginine, beta alanine and creatine. Guarana is often used as a herbal pick me up in all sorts of things.
Basically, does anyone have any experience with this or a similar product; do they have an effect? Finally, what sort of effect will it have on fat loss (increased, decreased, none whatsoever)?
Thanks guys

Re: Pre-workout supplements and fat loss.
My studied opinion would be, give it a go (unless it's ridiculously expensive!)
The ingredients look good, I haven't tried some of them but have read good reports about all.
You probably remember I posted my 'workout mix' a while back which has most of that in, I just made it up out of individual powders from MP. I would imagine very good results for anaerobic and possibly strength workouts, and not much extra in terms of fat loss (although the ability to train longer may help that)

Re: Pre-workout supplements and fat loss.
I used Pulse (2 packets worth) as a pre training supp when i started training in the morning. I liked it, it worked. However i'm now supplementing with Creatine and Beta Alanine anyway so didn't want to replicate those ingredients in the pulse mix so now just slam a shake and have a caffeine tab.

Hey guys, thank you for the responses they are really helpful.
Chi- that's exactly the reason I am going to try it, for early morning workouts. Also evenings when I am shattered too.
