Biotest

Post  Lovegrove on Sun 13 Apr 2008 - 12:39

Few weeks back, a mate of mine gave me just over half a tub of Biotest's Surge recovery mix. I really liked this product, and I certainly feel that my recovery benefitted from using it. I generally just felt better for using it post-workout.

I checked out a couple of supplement websites as I was thinking about picking some up, but the prices are crazy for most of their products. Has anyone used any of their other supplements? If so, do they warrant the big prices?

BIOTEST SUPPLEMENTS

Post  spartanperformance.co.uk on Wed 1 Oct 2008 - 11:00

I am a massive fan of their products in general. Especially 'Surge'. The best PWO supplement out there. Prices from UK retailers are not the best. I purchase direct from Biotest USA myself. Problem is that you get charged shipping (US deliveries don't!!) as well as receive a shitty Fed Ex bill roughly a week after delivery. This ranges between 17% and 25% (maximum) of your total order value depending on their mood (no joke - getting a straight answer out of FED EX in regards to their charges is an exercise in futility).

That aside I place reasonably large orders, and 1 tub of Surge comes in around £23-£25 depending upon the exchange rate and FED EX mood swings. Not bad for the absolute best out there. Their 'Flameout' and 'Metabolic Drive' are also excellent. 'Superfood' is also great. However, have just noticed myprotein.co.uk are releasing 'Superfood XS' (top marks for originality!!) at a good price. It is nigh on a direct replica of Biotest's. They do this with nearly every Biotest new release. Except Surge, which is frustrating.

Hope this helps

I managed to get hold of 3 tubs of surge v. cheaply and am loving it. However i can't justify the full price and once i finish them will be changing to the "chewy" workout recommendation by troponin nutrition on elitefts.
