Absolute Gold Protein Bars

Post  Alex Gold on Thu 10 Apr 2008 - 12:39

Here is my semi-healthy protein bar recipe. For PWO, or carb tolerant individuals. Actually, they are only just over an anytime bar, so if you cut out some oats they could be anytime.

Ingredients:

1 cup oats
1/2 cup flax seeds
8 Tbsp Peanut Butter
3 Tbsp Honey
8 servings whey (16 scoops)
Cocoa powder to flavour

Method:

Put all ingredients in bowl
Add just enough water to bind
Mix until binding, but not sticky
Put in fridge to set
Cut into portions

Makes 8, 10 or 12 bars depending on how you cut them up!

Nutritional Data:

cut into 8 10 12
cals 312.9 250.3 208.6
protein 30.3 24.2 20.2
fat 12.9 10.3 8.6
sat 2 1.6 1.3
mono 4.8 3.8 3.2
poly 4.5 3.6 3
carbs 21.8 17.4 14.5
fibre 3.6 2.9 2.4

sorry to be geeky but is your nutritional table correct?

If my maths is correct, by doubling the quantity from 8>16, the kcal for each serving should be half of the original value.
